Customer care

Installation services

The requirements and responsibilities for safe, prepared and properly scoped installations.

Effective date: October 29, 2026

Written scope

Installation is included only when expressly stated in the accepted quotation. The scope will identify materials, labour, measurements, surface preparation, fittings, waste removal, commissioning, exclusions, site visits and handover requirements.

Site readiness

The customer must provide safe and lawful access, working utilities where needed, a reasonably secure site and timely access to the decision-maker. Hidden pipes, wiring, dampness, structural defects, weak substrates, uneven floors and defective waterproofing must be disclosed where known. Lumetra will notify the customer of conditions discovered that require additional work.

Measurements and technical approvals

Final site measurements, drawings, product selections, joints, profiles, cut-outs, fixture locations and finishes should be signed off before procurement or fabrication. Technical changes after approval require a written variation identifying price and time consequences.

Variations and additional works

Work outside the agreed scope will not be charged without the customer’s approval, except urgent safety measures reasonably necessary to prevent immediate harm, which will be documented and communicated as soon as possible.

Scheduling and delays

An installation programme is dependent on site access, materials, preceding trades and customer decisions. Where the customer or another contractor delays access, Lumetra will document the impact and agree a revised programme and any reasonable additional costs before proceeding.

Safety and third parties

Lumetra may suspend unsafe work and must explain the reason. Third-party contractors remain responsible for their own work; Lumetra remains responsible for its own team and contracted obligations. Site photographs will be used for project documentation and quality control; identifiable promotional publication requires an appropriate legal basis and, where needed, consent.

Inspection and completion

At completion, the parties should conduct a joint inspection and record outstanding items in a snag list with reasonable correction dates. Signing a handover form confirms the recorded condition at handover and does not waive rights concerning concealed defects or statutory remedies.
