Payment policy

Payment methods, verification, deposits, refunds and payment security for Lumetra orders and approved quotations.

Effective date: October 29, 2026

Accepted methods

Lumetra may accept M-Pesa, bank transfer and any other payment method displayed at checkout or on an official quotation. Customers should pay only through verified Lumetra payment instructions. Staff members are not authorized to request payment to personal accounts unless expressly disclosed as an approved business arrangement.

Confirmation and fraud prevention

An M-Pesa message, screenshot or transaction reference helps locate a payment but does not alone establish cleared receipt. Orders, procurement, delivery slots and installations are confirmed after Lumetra verifies payment through its own records or payment provider. Suspicious or duplicate transactions may be investigated and reconciled.

Deposits and milestones

Payment requirements depend on the accepted quotation. Standard products may require full payment before dispatch; special orders and installation projects may require deposits or staged payments. The quotation must state amounts, due dates, milestones and consequences of non-payment.

Invoices, refunds and overpayments

Lumetra will issue applicable receipts and tax documentation in accordance with Kenyan requirements. Verified overpayments will be reconciled and returned through a traceable method, subject to appropriate fraud and identity checks. Refunds will not be sent to unrelated third parties without satisfactory authorization.

Payment disputes

Customers should report an unauthorized or incorrect charge promptly. Lumetra will cooperate with payment providers and maintain order records. Customers should not be required to abandon legal payment-dispute rights as a condition of service.
